1. Aren't similar tools available elsewhere?
Yes, there are but what we are providing here is a very simple and cheap bureau service.
This way there is no software to install and no back-ups to perform. It may not have all the bells and whistles
of some packages but they tend to have more than most people actually need or use.
Besides, this allows you to see your data from anywhere on the web.
2. How many data accounts can I set up?
There are no real restrictions. The type of account that you have has limits on the number of data sets
that you can have for each combination of company/type/category but how those combinations are used is not
restricted.
3. How do I use the drop down lists for setting up new accounts?
The drop down lists are deliberately simplistic. You enter your own descriptive name for the new account, then
you select the company and finally the most appropriate category.
We haven't tied the categories to the company
names for two reasons. Firstly, the maintenance overhead and secondly, so many companies have diversified into
providing services that are outside of their traditional areas that the number of combinations could be vast.
4. Why are the initial Table/Graph lists not in alphabetical order?
What you see on the screen is the descriptive text for each field. The data is actually sorted on the underlying
id values for each company/type/category. This has been done so that you can select by Type to get all Categories as well as
selecting by Category to get a single set of records.
The Name field is purely a label and has no bearing on the sort order.
5. What happens to my 30 day trial data?
It stays available for 60 days so that if you want to subscribe it is there ready to use just as it was during the trial.
6. What are the subscription payment options?
At present the only option is PayPal. This will probably only change if demand requires it.
7. Can I use this service for credits not just debits?
We don't see why not. It was designed for bills but nothing states that the values have to be credit or debit or even positive or negative.
Negative values are accepted to allow for re-credited bills.
8. Why do the sessions time out?
For security reasons and to lessen the load on the server all sessions have an inactivity timeout set to 2 hours. In normal use
the timeouts should not present any problem.
